About

Hi, I'm Vani.

Psychology for real life. One thought, one pattern, and one mindful moment at a time.

Mindful with Vani began with a simple thought: psychology should not feel like something that only lives in textbooks, therapy rooms, or complicated terminology. It should help us understand the things we experience every single day — why we overthink, why boundaries feel difficult, why certain relationships drain us, why parenting can trigger parts of us we never noticed before, and why sometimes we can have a full life and still feel disconnected from ourselves.

I'm currently studying Psychology with the University of London, and this space is where I bring together what I learn with the questions, patterns and conversations that show up in real life.

My aim is not to tell you how to live your life. It is to help you understand yourself a little better.

Because very often, change does not begin with a dramatic breakthrough. It begins with recognising a pattern. Finding the right words for something you have been feeling for years. Asking yourself a question you have never stopped to ask before.

That is what Mindful with Vani is built around.

Here, psychology is made practical, relatable and easy to apply — whether we are talking about relationships, parenting, family expectations, self-worth, people-pleasing, overthinking, boundaries or simply learning how to feel more like yourself again.

Behind the work

Why I created Mindful Tools

Reading something relatable can make you feel seen. But sometimes, understanding why you feel a certain way is only the first step.

My Mindful Tools are created to help you go a little deeper.

They are guided workbooks, reflection exercises, prompts and practical resources designed to help you pause, organise your thoughts, recognise patterns and turn insight into something you can actually use in your own life.

They are not about becoming a “better” or more perfect version of yourself.

They are about becoming more aware of the version of you that is already there.

Every Mindful Tool is designed around a simple question:

“Will this help someone understand themselves, their emotions or their relationships more clearly?”

If the answer is no, it does not belong here.

What you can expect here

I want Mindful with Vani to feel like the thoughtful conversation you wish someone had started sooner.

  • A place where difficult topics can be discussed without making them intimidating.
  • A place where you can read something and think, “I didn’t know there was a reason I felt this way.”
  • A place where psychology helps you reflect — rather than labels you.
  • A place where you leave with something useful: a new perspective, a question to think about, an exercise to try, or simply a little more clarity than you had before.

If something you read here helps you understand yourself a little better, then Mindful with Vani is doing exactly what I created it to do.

Psychology for real life.

One thought, one pattern, and one mindful moment at a time.
